What is a CSA:
Community Supported Agriculture.
You purchase a share of the season’s harvest in advance from a local farm like Down to Earth. You then will share both the bounty and risk of growing vegetables with the farmer. The harvest season lasts about 20 weeks, from mid June till early November. A typical share may average out to about 8-10 pounds per week and will includes around 30 different vegetables over the course of the season.
